MaxxPi² Multi (preview) is part of MaxxPI² Professional, it's for free. No install needed, just unpack and run.
It is a benchmark designed to help you measure your Single/Multicore CPU performance. MaxxPi² Multi is
written to calculates pi to a specified number of digits after the decimal point, up to a maximum of 128 million.
Max. memory usage approx. ~1.3gb of ram (at 128M).
Description of score in K/sec. :
Is given to compare achieved results, so instead of having to say 2min 32sec 343ms... , now you need
only to tell on single number, K/sec. . It is nothing else than: the number of calculated decimal places per sec. in K (1024).
1m became 356.2 (K/sec.) means that the cpu was able to calculate 364,748.8 (1024 x 356.2)
decimal places per sec.
Furthermore, MaxxPiMulti (preview) will provide users an
easy comparison with other machines. It uses current technologies like SSE, MMX, scheduled threading and further techniques, including
an accurate time measurement that provides reliable, consistent results. All this will precisely reflect the performance of your system.
Every little change done on the benched system will take place on the received results.
